Paul Benson
Paul was born in Blackpool in Lancashire in 1948 and emigrated, firstly to Canada (when he was aged 5) and then to America (when he was 7), returning to England in 1968.
He was a professional dancer from 1970 - 1986 with the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden and also taught dancing, before later training as an osteopath.
Paul took up the banjo some years ago and reckons that he's still trying to master it (even though he sounds pretty good to us!). He also plays guitar.
He has a passion for song writing, and has written songs that are performed at the folk club.
Paul's wife was also a dancer but doesn't share his passion for the banjo!
