Dave Woolley

Dave started singing at a very young age in choirs and eventually won a scholarship (or Choiristorship as they call it) to the Southwell minster school but didn't take it up due to reasons beyond his comprehension now! At the age of 9 he took up guitar at the same time as a couple of school friends, teaching themselves with Bert Weedon's 'play in a day', which Dave eventually got signed by Bert himself at a music exhibition.

After playing in a few bands through the late 60's, Dave turned semi-pro in the 70's but, after meeting the love of his life and getting married, he joined the rat race! He has managed to get his music published though; Channel 4 used to have a programme called Extreme Sports and he wrote several pieces for them.

Dave enjoys collecting musical instruments and his goal is always to play something on each and every one of them which, up to now, he has always managed to do! Music has always been a massive part of his life and always will be. But, due to family commitments, his ventures out into the music community tend to be limited these days.
