Northern Ireland born singer-songwriter Anthony John Clarke needs little introduction, having sold out previous guest night dates at the club and becoming a regular act at clubs and festivals across the country - and beyond. We're delighted to be welcoming him back again following his previous visit to Bingham Folk Club almost two years ago.
AJC has a number of albums to his name. Amongst his best known songs are "The Broken Years" (about the Irish 'Troubles'), "The Only Life Gloria Knows" (about homelessness), and "Tuesday Night Is Always Karaoke".
This promises to be yet another brilliant guest night - don't wait too long to get your tickets
if you intend joining us for the evening.

April 24th - JILL & BERNARD BLACKWELL
(Feature Night)
Entry costs just £5 at the door on the night (no tickets)
With their creative musical arrangements and fine harmony singing, Jill and Bernard have been delighting
audiences at folk clubs and festivals for many years. Their performances offer a fresh take on mainly
traditional songs, brought to life with an array of instruments – guitar, flute, concertina,
Northumbrian smallpipes and button accordion – all played with care, skill and real warmth.
As this is a Feature Night, the first half of the evening will be available for any floor singers to share a song
or two with us, and also perform through the PA system if they wish to do so. Everyone very welcome!
May 22nd - STEVE HICKS & LYNN GOULBOURN
(Ticketed Guest Night, and already selling well!)

Steve and Lynn have been regular guests over the years, and always been one of the most popular acts to visit our club. This promises to be another great evening and is definitely one not to be missed! If their music is new to you, expect pure acoustic tones, reflective lyrics, well crafted arrangements and superb, intricate guitar work.

June 26th - THREE'S COMPANY

Three's Company is a Notts / Derby trio that features three highly accomplished and well regarded musicians - Bob Ballard (guitar & vocals), Al Harris (bass & vocals) & Roger Strickland (guitar & vocals). They are another act for whom we get frequent requests to arrange a return visit, so this date will be well received by many people!

September 25th - CHRIS PUNTER (& friends!)

Chris is a highly experienced, local singer-guitarist, who will be well known to many of you from his links to a number of other local folk clubs, as well as the bands in which he has been a member over the years (including Dark Horse Acoustic in recent times). Chris has a wide repertoire of songs, a fine voice, and excellent guitar skills!
All being well, Chris will be joined by one or two other musicians for a few of his songs.

Steve is one of the UK's most celebrated songsmiths, widely recognised within the world of folk and contemporary music. The words, arrangements and subtle, quite superb guitar playing could be no one else. The story of Steve's 'lost' letter from John Lennon thrust Steve into the worldwide media spotlight, and was the inspiration for the highly successful Hollywood movie, Danny Collins. Unsurprisingly, Steve has always been a hugely popular act at Bingham Folk Club - so we fully expect this one to sell out once again. Don't leave it too long to get your tickets!
