The club nights are held ONCE A MONTH, normally on the 4th Friday -
but please check the programme (below) for details.
We take a break during the height of summer, and so
we do not have a club night in August.
September 27th - PA Night
Everyone very welcome. A high quality PA system is available for any floor singers who would like to use it.
October 25th - THE CELLOTAPES (Feature Night)
A popular Nottingham based, acoustic, Americana quartet with tight harmonies and a shed load of
foot-tapping ear-worm songs. They are multi-instrumentalists playing blues, bluegrass, country, folk,
jazz and original songs. They will perform for about half of the evening,
with the rest of the time being a PA Night; floor singers are very welcome.
No tickets - just £5 at the door
November 22nd - JEZ LOWE

A double nomination in the 2015 BBC Folk Awards, for best singer and best new song, was a timely
reminder of Jez Lowe's standing in the UK folk and acoustic music scene. Not only is he one of the
busiest live performers in the country, but his songs are among the most widely sung by other performers.
Jez is always a hugely popular guest at Bingham Folk Club and, following his last visit three years ago (back in
June 2021, just as COVID restrictions were being lifted), we can't wait to welcome him back again!!
December 13th - CHRISTMAS PARTY
Everyone very welcome. We have a 'Bring & Share' buffet during the interval, and
a high quality PA system will be available for any floor singers who would like to use it.

January 24th 2025 - HIGGS BO'SUN (Feature Night)
The Higgs Bo'sun folk band consists of four (not so young) men from the Nottingham area performing
great tunes & songs from Britain, Ireland and beyond. The band members include
Norman Randall (guitar, bouzouki, mandolin & vocals), John Thorn (melodeon, concertina, bohdran & vocals),
Wil Walker (fiddle & vocals), and Les Wilkinson (banjo, guitar, melodeon & vocals).
Higgs Bo'sun are guaranteed to get your feet tapping and everyone singing along!
They will perform for about half of the evening, with the rest of the time being a PA Night;
floor singers are very welcome.

February 28th - RAY BAGULEY & THE BENTONES (Feature Night)
Ray Baguley will be well known to many people, having been active on the local folk scene for many years,
including his time in The Bouviers (always great favourites at the club). In this current trio, singer-guitarist Ray
is joined by Ian (guitar & vocals) & Margaret (double bass & vocals) Benton. Having given us a brilliant taste
of what to expect when they visited the club last July, this promises to be another very entertaining evening.
They will perform for about half of the evening, with the rest of the time being a PA Night;
floor singers are very welcome.

March 28th - Singers Night (acoustic, without PA system)
Everyone very welcome - performers as well as those who would just like to come along to listen.
April 25th - FOLKLAW Trio

We feel very fortunate to be able to include FOLKLAW in our club programme, and are grateful for the
support of their fiddle player & vocalist, Nick Gibbs - who happens to live locally and is a good friend of the club!
The band can frequently be seen playing at major festivals up and down the country, as well as overseas in
mainland Europe. They sometimes include as many as six musicians but, for this guest night, Nick will be
joined by original members Bryn Williams (guitar, bohdran & vocals) and Martin Vogwell (mandolin,
banjo, guitars & vocals). FolkLaw were previously at the club for a packed out guest night
back in October 2021, so we can't wait to welcome them once again!!

Brooks Williams needs little introduction, having packed the club out on his previous visits to the club.
For those who have never seen him, Brooks is a UK based American acoustic guitarist and singer whose style combines roots, jazz, blues, classical and folk. He is ranked as one of the top 100 acoustic guitarists,
and yet 'his unassuming, relaxed manner conceals the greatest level of true expertise' - not our words,
but taken from a recent review! Brooks was previously at the club for a sold out guest night
back in May 2022, so we can't wait to welcome him once again!!
