Marion Downs

Marion and Dave have been regular attenders of the club since the mid-1990s, with Marion being the musician and Dave being the roadie and PA man! Marion's musical background goes back to her early days when she first started to play the piano at the age of six - eventually reaching Grade 8 and Diploma (ALCM) standard. In addition, she taught herself the guitar and played various other instruments. Marion's musical tastes are wide-ranging, and this is reflected in the variety of songs that she performs.

Amongst the contemporary artists that she covers, songs by Runrig feature most heavily - they are a great band that we have seen many times. Other favourite performers include Joan Baez, Amazing Blondel, Dire Straits, Abba, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Amy McDonald, Neil Young, Simon & Garfunkel, etc.

Dave and Marion also look after all of the club's publicity, including the website, Facebook page and ticketing for guest nights.
