Ron Margetson & Jim Madlin
Ron & Jim are both regular folk club members, travelling from the Arnold area. They are so well regarded by other club members that, together with Steve Fox and Paul Benson, their 'Blue Mountain Band' has had their own Feature Night. Members of the band are often asked to accompany other musicians at the club. Ron plays electric bass and Jim normally plays either accoustic or electric guitar.
Ron's musical influences include Buck Owens, George Strait and The Hillsiders whilst Jim relates to Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, as well as many other country & bluegrass artists.
Having played together for quite a few years, they have experience in playing traditional and modern country music. Previously, Ron played in rock bands whilst Jim played in folk and bluegrass bands.
